Applying for a semester of study

If you want to spend a semester studying at ESAIL, you will need to send us the following documents: 

• Application form 
• Portfolio of design work 
• Copy of your ID card or passport 
• Insurance certificate 
• Jpeg head shot photo 

 
Deadlines for applications: 

• 1st semester: 10th June 
• 2nd semester: 10th November 

 
(!) The majority of our classes are in French. You must have a sufficient grasp of French to be able to follow the classes in the best possible conditions. Follow-up in English can be arranged for some modules (see list).

Spending time studying abroad requires prior organisation and you will need to start to prepare the year before you leave.  
The list of partner universities open to applications for this study abroad scheme is available in the section: Partner universities. 
Furthermore, an information meeting will be held during the year. We encourage you to contact students already studying at the establishments you are interested in. 
As the number of places is limited, applicant students will be pre-selected. This involves ranking students according to a number of criteria (semester 3 grades, language skills for non-French speaking destinations).
